Crafting Memories Through Scent: Our Perfume Masterclass in Florence

One of the most unique and unforgettable experiences during our time in Florence was the chance to craft our very own custom perfumes. We stepped into a charming workshop where centuries of fragrance-making tradition met modern creativity. Guided by a master perfumer, we embarked on a sensory journey that was equal parts educational and magical.

The session began with a fascinating introduction to the art of perfumery. We learned about the delicate balance of top notes, middle (or heart) notes, and base notes—each playing a critical role in creating a harmonious scent. The top notes, we discovered, are the first impressions, light and fleeting. The base notes linger, forming the lasting essence of the fragrance.

Under the perfumer’s expert guidance, we experimented with different essences, sniffing floral, citrus, woody, and spicy elements to find the perfect balance. The creative process was both fun and insightful, as we layered scents to capture our own personalities in a bottle.

Mixing, swirling, and blending felt almost like conducting a fragrant symphony. Each of us walked away with a custom fragrance—a personal and beautifully bottled memory of Florence. What made the experience even more special was knowing that no two scents were alike. Each perfume was unique, just as our memories of this enchanting city would forever be.

Taking home a bottle of Florence, made by our own hands, was an incredible souvenir. More than just a fragrance, it was a lasting reminder of creativity, learning, and joy shared together. Every time we wear our custom scent, we’re instantly transported back to that magical workshop in Florence, surrounded by laughter, inspiration, and the timeless essence of the city.
